Bingham's Mom

Bingham is a big little man in kindergarten now and loving every minute, almost. I think if he could go to school in his pjs, all would be good. I love kindergarten. I love it when my kids come home using words like "illustrator" and singing cute songs about what will the weather be today or how to form numbers. He has a wonderful teacher who despite the pressure to get ready for spring testing (yes, even in kindergarten) she insists on having fun.

Friday was show and tell and they were supposed to bring something to school to share with the class that started with the letter M and had to do with their family. Bingham picked me....MOM! I tried to convince him that a picture would be just fine, but no, he wanted the real thing. I would be lying if I told you I wasn't a little excited to go. It gave me an excuse to cut out of work early and go hang with my son's new best friends. I love going to the school and hearing, "Hi Bingham's mom!" (or what ever kid they know me by). It is by far my favorite title ever.

So I get there and Bingham comes and takes me by the hand and leads me up to meet his class. When his teacher asks if he can share a little about me he just says, " I just love her so much!" Awe...so sweet. Then the teacher asks if I'm a good cook...."No, not really, but I still lover her so much!" Good thing he followed that one up with a big ole hug or it would have been spinach soufflé for dinner for sure.
